I made the HGV2 Gundam.
At first I thought I'd go with a subdued colour, but then I wanted to try candy paint, so I did that, but it seemed a little too sparkly, so I sprayed on a matte finish and finished it.
I thought it was a little small, so I extended the legs by a total of 7mm and it feels like it became a completely different thing.
Also, I made a backpack from junk parts and semi-scratch to attach the assault parts to.
I thought it would definitely break if I removed the interchangeable parts, so I made all of them detachable with neodymium magnets.
