I wanted to paint it gold, so I quickly created the SD Gundam Superior Strike Freedom Dragon. It took about 5 hours from start of mock assembly to completion of painting.
I airbrushed two colors of gold, Star Bright Gold and Star Bright Champagne Gold, and for the first time tried spraying clear yellow on top of both. It's a unique and nice color that you can't get with just paint. It made me want to try layering it in various ways.
I didn't use masking, so I painted the metallic red and the gold on the legs in parts with water-based acrylic markers.
I used yellow clear paint.
