I tried creating a mechanical core plating effect using a clear Sazabi.

While the backing was drying, I attempted to paint the internal frame.

This time, I used DSPIAE acrylic markers.

Next, once the backing was dry, I attached the armor, then the backpack, and remembering to paint the inside as well, I used two shades of burnt iron color for the full paint job. After each step, I applied panel lining and a top coat. Finally, I applied decals and a glossy top coat to complete it! This was my first time painting the internal frame to this extent, but the way it peeks out from the gaps after completion gives it a really nice touch. The crucial mechanical core plating...
