I've loved combining and transforming mechs since childhood, and countless mechs have thrilled me, but looking back, "Z Gundam is No. 1!!" Many of the old combining and transforming mechs had rather impractical designs that only looked cool in 2D. The flight forms were typically flat and stylish, but when they were made into 3D models, they couldn't be combined with the robot form and ended up looking clunky.
