The model in the photo is the coated version of the MG Gundam GP01fb.
It's an MG kit, but I've used 1/144 scale decals, and surprisingly, it doesn't look out of place, does it?
Personally, I think my favorite placement is the decal with the model number on the side of the mobile suit's head.
I used to be afraid of waterslide decals because I had a traumatic experience tearing one recently, but they're really fun once you get used to them!
