I wanted to recreate the rainbow-like texture seen in the box art of the Mercury Witch series, so I was experimenting with a rainbow primer using Rubris paints.
I liked the primer stage so much that I decided to post it here before starting the main painting.
I couldn't bring myself to paint over this because I knew I'd have to say goodbye to this stage, but posting it here will mark a turning point.
Since this is largely an experimental project to explore my own painting techniques, I'm going to paint away without fear of failure!
