I wanted to use Gaia's purple primer, so I painted it with a purple base coat. The purple primer was too dark on the white parts, so I mixed it with white primer to create the base coat. This turned out to be a reddish-purple, so the whole thing ended up looking pinkish.

Pink is too harsh for the blue-dominant Double Zeta, so I made the body more reddish.

The gradient of the base coat disappears in photos taken with a cell phone camera.

Finally, I applied a top coat with a matte:semi-gloss ratio of 1:1.

The MG kit itself is quite well-made.
