I started building the Dilanza, trying to experiment with pencil detailing on a dark molded color.

I wondered if I could easily make it look cool and eliminate the plastic feel? That's where my "obsession" lies. I'll keep trying with pencils for a while longer.

The pencil work on the navy blue parts needs some refinement. It looks nicely glossy black when the flash hits it, but I want to do something more... The finishing touch will be a matte marker over the pencil.

I'm also gradually learning how to do marker detail painting.

The Mercury kit is very poseable! I'd like to take some more photos if I have time.
