A space-spec MS could never have been operated on Earth, and it was a complete burden, but the ground forces forced to operate it locally had no room to vent their frustrations, so it was quickly modified. It is a test-developed hose unit. Although it no longer resembled a space-specific MS, it served as a sniper for many mountain-mountain MS during the next decade or so until the Zeon remnant uprising in UC 100.
