It's been almost a year since I returned to Gunpla last December. To cap off that first year, I'm making my first ver.Ka model, the MG ZZ Gundam. I used to watch the anime on my CRT TV at 5:30pm on Saturday evenings, and if I had other plans, I'd schedule it to be recorded on VHS video... I created this model with the suit colors that I remember from my impressionable years, when I used to watch the anime every week when it was on the air.
At the time, there was a kit that could transform into the G-Fortress, just like the original design, and that was the last Gunpla I built until I returned at this age. It wasn't color-coded like it is now,
