I tried to recreate a prototype that appeared in Analog using the old Metas kit.
"MSA-005X-1 Metas X-1" is a Metas-series test machine that appears in Anaheim Laboratory Log (Analog).
Anaheim Laboratory Log is a web project that tells the story of the discovery of development records from Anaheim Electronics (AE) in the year 100 of the Universal Century, which contain reports on mobile suits that never saw the light of day. The Gundam Mk-III Unit 8 (the red Mk-III) and Pale Rider DII also make an appearance.
Apparently, it says that "the Federation and Titans used Asshimar, and Axis..."
